Love Bite is an intimate body chocolate that can be applied anywhere on the body for those who like to be adventurous! The sweet and smooth aphrodisiac aids in stress relief by helping couples enjoy playful intimacy that encourages them to explore their desires.

The prompt for this project was to design chocolate packaging, but we were challenged to steer away from the traditional rectangular chocolate bar and instead explore alternative and unique chocolate forms.

The primary packaging is the bottle, and the secondary packaging is the box that the bottle would be inside.

This 4oz bottle’s wavy organic shape fits comfortably with the natural contour of the hand, with the roundness emphasizing its fluidity and smoothness.

Both the primary packaging (bottle) and the secondary packaging (box), fit into each other, utilizing shelf space efficiently while also emphasizing the joint nature of the intimacy it advertises.

The body chocolate was dubbed “Love Bite” to allude to a common part of foreplay, as well as play on taking a sweet bite of dessert. The playful logotype is meant to reflect the gooey chocolate waiting inside.

Because of the bright red and shape of the packaging, I didn't want a font that would be too much or detract from the other design elements. I chose these font pairings to be simple, yet still convey a bit of personality in their lightness to exemplify the playfulness of the product.

Secondary packaging turn around.

The material of the bottle is recyclable bioplastic, and the material for the box is textured cardboard with custom printing using water-based ink.

This product’s flavor comes in dark and white chocolate, with one bottle coming in each box.

My biggest struggle with this project was my technical skill as this was my first time 3D modeling. I was frustrated because I was satisfied with the graphic design portion, but my prototypes weren't good representatives of that. The solution was just to work at it each week until I got the hang of the software a little better.
